A near shot-for-shot remake of the performance of the hit song Jackson by Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood as produced for her 1968 film, Movin' with Nancy.

Made in Leipzig, Germany, using analogue equipment, and filled with the awkward moments of poor performance technique or on-camera discomfort, Jackson 2019 combines the tragicomic lyricism of country music with the slapstick of the present and the all-too-tragic reality of human relations to make a joke that is so serious you can cry.

Performed by Shirin Barthel and Ruvi Simmons, weeks before their 13 year long relationship ended.
